This framework of elective courses is structured around four sustainability themes: Introduction to sustainability, Sustainability in depth, Embedding factors, and Delivering impact.
These courses are optional and are designed to support our learners across all programmes.

Theme 1: Introduction to sustainability
The purpose of this theme is to establish a shared, practical understanding of sustainability and why it matters in organisational contexts.
The focus is on core concepts, language and framing.
Theme 2: Sustainability in depth
The purpose of this theme is to build depth across key environmental, social and economic sustainability issues that shape organisational risk, responsibility and opportunity.
The focus is on issue literacy, systems thinking and applied understanding.
Theme 3: Embedding sustainability
The purpose of this theme is to translate sustainability knowledge into organisational systems, behaviours and decision-making.
The focus is on application, integration and delivery at organisational and functional level.
Theme 4: Delivering impact
The purpose of this theme is to enable confident leadership and ownership of sustainability under real-world constraints.
The focus is on judgement, prioritisation, influence and change.
